I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Weddings are all pretty similar. They all follow a basic structure, trends usually dictate the decor and style, and ceremonies are structured around traditions. At the end of the day, what matters is the commitment you are making to one another and that’s what we’re trying to capture. What I want to document is the anticipation as the bride gets ready to walk down the aisle. The love on the groom’s face when his best friend enters the room. The tears that are shed because daddy’s little girl is leaving but he knows this is the man she loves and the family has prayed for. The hugs after the ceremony is over as two families are joined together. The excitement as the bride and groom leave to start their life as a married couple. Because this is what it’s all about. Not the flowers, or the gown, or the cake; but the love and the laughter and the joy.
You are getting married.
Why I do this
I rarely ever take photos of my fiancé and I together, or of myself playing with my niece and nephews. It’s not as important to me as enjoying the moment we’re spending together. I don’t want to spend my life staring at a screen, or creating a perfect Instagram life. I want to live, but I also want to be able to look back years from now and remember how I spent my time. So that’s what I want to do for you - help you document your memories with the people you love and capture your emotions, without you having to live with a phone or camera constantly in your hand. I’m not the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay. My style is best for those who prefer candid moments over perfectly posed images. Let’s grab your love and have fun together - whatever that means to you, whether that involves hiking to a beautiful place, or making pizza in your own kitchen. Most guys (and girls for that matter) don’t enjoy taking photos, but the more comfortable and fun we make it, the more likely everyone is to enjoy both the session and looking back at the photos!
If you’re a bride, you’re probably trying to make many decisions in a short amount of time. Maybe you’re feeling bogged down because you’re having the same conversations over and over again with vendors, or maybe you haven’t even reached out because you want to do your research ahead of time. You’ve seen my work. We can look at pretty photos all day, but now you really need to know more. Want answers to your questions, or need to talk numbers? Start here.
