St. Paul's of the Plains Wedding | Lubbock, Texas | Jeremy + Leah
Not many people get the opportunity to get married in St. Paul’s of the Plains chapel in Lubbock, because it’s only available for smaller weddings. I was so excited when Leah told me that’s where she planned to get married, and my excitement only grew when I found out her plans to use vintage details like mismatched plates and silverware she had been collecting. Their wedding day began with a private worship service for their family in St. Paul’s chapel and then a few hours later everyone returned for the ceremony! The reception was casual, with quilts laid out on the park ground for guests to enjoy their cake, and let me tell you - these became some of my all-time favorite reception photos. So many laughs, hugs, and loving looks were shared. The bride and groom had a flower petal exit just before the rain rolled in - you know the old saying about it being good luck if it rains on your wedding day? It’s crazy the number of weddings I’ve attended that were followed by a quick shower! (However, I’ve never thought the couple needed any luck - they just need each other + hard work.)
